On May 19, 2007, at 2235 hours, deputies responded to a physical altercation between (A) Becky REYES and her family.

The 53 year old female (V) reported that (A) Becky REYES brandished a butcher knife and attempted to assault her family.   (A) Becky REYES attempted to assault the (V) with a butcher knife.  She was swinging the knife around at her brother and her mother (V), causing a small cut on her hand.  

 

She was last seen leaving the area in a white Mazda, with an unknown license, and unknown direction of travel.  An area check was conducted with negative results.

On 05/22/07, at approximately 1700 hours, deputies received a call that (A) Becky REYES was back on scene at the address of Manor Drive in Thornton, in a verbal argument with her mother, the (V).

(A) Becky REYES was arrested and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on charges of 245(a)(1) PC, Assault With a Deadly Weapon; 422 PC, Criminal Threats; 417(a)(1) PC, Brandishing a Knife.

A 15-year-old male juvenile was identified as lighting a fire in the field between Wilson Way/ Newton Road, and Cherokee.  

According to (W)s, the juvenile walked into the field, bent over and started the field on fire. One (W), who was works in the area was out in the back part of the property and saw the two Juveniles walking down the railroad tracks.  He saw the juvenile walk into the field and then saw smoke and fire and the juvenile come running up from the field.  The (W) and other witnesses chased the juvenile and detained him until deputies arrived.     

The 15-year-old juvenile was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center on the charge of 451 (d) PC, Arson.
